How to play 4x4 sudoku (4 steps):
1. Each row must contain the digits 1, 2, 3 and 4 exactly once. No repeats.
2. Each column must also contain 1, 2, 3 and 4 exactly once.
3. Each of the four thick-lined 2x2 boxes must contain 1, 2, 3 and 4 exactly once.
4. The numbers already printed are the clues. Fill every empty cell so all three rules hold at the same time. A finished grid shows each digit four times, once per row, column, and box.
They get harder down the page: fewer clues means more deduction. Answers are hidden under each puzzle so nobody sees them by accident; on a printed copy the answer grids stay on screen only.
