Semester Planner Printable: the Free One-Page College Semester Template (Print to PDF)

A semester planner does its job before week one starts. This one prints on a single sheet: a term header to write in, a six-course table with days, rooms, and professors, an exam-dates box you fill from the syllabi, a Monday-to-Friday grid for the schedule that repeats, and a grade tracker with a target column you set yourself. No app, no login, no battery. Print it once, tape it where you plan, and keep the whole term in view. If you want the same term in software, the Notion dashboard at the bottom carries these sections into a linked workspace; the printable below works on its own.

How to use this page: hit print, write the term at the top (Fall 2026, Winter term, whatever your college calls it), and take one row per course from the roster. Copy exam dates into the box the day the syllabus hands them out. The weekly grid takes the classes that meet every week, times down the left side. The grade table waits: write a target for each course now, fill the grade column when results post. Printing to PDF from any browser works if you plan on a screen instead of paper.

The order is deliberate. Courses sit first because every other section references them: grid cells hold course names, grade rows repeat them. The dates box sits above the weekly grid because a term deadline outlives any single week. The grade table comes last because it fills slowest, one row at a time when results post. Six rows is a cap, not a quota; a lighter term should leave rows empty.

Four tips for running the sheet

Opinions from use, not science - your term, your call.

  1. Exam dates go in the box the day syllabi land. Every course hands out its exam dates in week one. Copying them in before you leave the room takes thirty seconds; the classic alternative is discovering in week nine that two exams share a morning. The box has six lines for a reason: courses overlap, and so do their exams.
  2. Fill the professor column completely, office hours included. The room number is on the roster, but office hours live on the syllabus, and midterm season is the worst time to go hunting for them. Write them in the row while the syllabus is already open.
  3. Write a target grade now; fill the grade column only when the school posts it. A target is a decision about where your study hours go, made early enough to matter. It is a write-in, not a prediction. The grade column staying empty for weeks is the sheet working, not failing.
  4. Give the sheet five minutes a week. Sunday night works for most people. Scan the dates box against the calendar, check nothing new landed, move on. A term sheet that only gets looked at during panic week is a poster, not a planner.

One term, one page

Three printable planners live on this site, and they answer different questions. The weekly planner printable covers seven days at a time: top-3 priorities, habit dots, a weekend boundary. The daily focus planner goes one day deep: time blocks, a distraction park-lot, an end-of-day wrap-up. This semester sheet zooms all the way out: one page for the whole term, printed once at the start and taped above the desk until finals. They stack well - term sheet on the wall, weekly sheet on the desk, daily sheet on the heavy days. If you would rather run the whole system in one place, the Student Dashboard below carries the same bones into Notion: assignments, exam prep, reading notes, and a grade tracker linked to one course roster.

Honest note: this page is a printable planning sheet. It does not calculate a GPA, it does not predict grades, and a target in the last column guarantees nothing; the target is a write-in, the studying is yours. The sheet tracks what the school gives you - dates, rooms, times, and posted grades - on paper you can read without unlocking anything.
