Every invoice you send sits in one of three states, and paper makes all three visible at a glance: sent, paid, overdue. This page gives those states one place to land. Print two pages free: a 12-row invoice log where you write the invoice number, a client alias, the sent date and the amount, then circle where the invoice stands. Page two holds an outstanding recap and a follow-up log. Write-in only, no software needed, prints tonight.
How to use this page: print at 100% scale (site chrome drops out on paper). Page one is the log: one row per invoice, written the day it goes out, number first, then a client alias, then the sent date, then the amount, then circle sent, paid or overdue. When money lands, circle paid. Page two closes the loop: copy the still-unpaid rows into the outstanding recap, count days out, and log each follow-up as you send it. Print a fresh pair for each month.
Twelve rows covers a normal invoicing month for a one-person shop, and a page you can finish beats a ledger you abandon. Nothing is pre-filled: no sample invoices, no amounts someone else made up. The status circles are sorting labels, the same three states every invoice passes through. Circle one as you write the row, and re-circle when the state changes: sent becomes paid, or sent becomes overdue when the due date passes without money. The client column takes an alias, because a sheet of client names is paper you have to guard, and initials identify an invoice just as well on your own desk.

The recap is the unpaid side of page one, pulled onto five rows. Copy each invoice still missing its paid circle: number, alias, amount, and days out, counted from the sent date. Five rows is a working shortlist; a log with more than five unpaid lines is telling you something worth reading before you send anything new. Below it sits the follow-up log, six rows of date, who, and what was said. One line per chase. A dated history of reminders does more for the next conversation than memory does, and it stops the double-email a day apart.

This printable is the paper version of one sheet from the Small Business Bookkeeping Spreadsheet, a four-file CSV pack for Google Sheets and Excel. From the pack's README, on the invoice tracker file:
`invoices.csv` - Invoice tracker: invoice_no, client, issued, due, amount, status (draft/sent/paid/overdue). 8 sample invoices, paid ones matched to Transactions
And on what the pack is, and how you may use it:
This is a record-keeping tool, not tax advice. ... Personal and commercial use allowed - use it to run your own business, for clients you serve, as many times as you like. No resale or redistribution of the pack itself, as-is or with minor edits.
A record-keeping and organization page. It gives sent invoices one place to be written, circled and chased, so a freelancer can see what is out and what came back. The status circles are generic sorting labels. Nothing here is financial advice and nothing here is tax advice; no log collects money, and terms, due dates and contracts are between you and your client. Confirm anything tax-related with your accountant or your tax authority. If you would rather keep this in a spreadsheet, the freelance invoice tracker page covers the spreadsheet shape.
